First Thing is First

I have some hotel time this week. I will take the camera and start practicing some of my must learn things. i should have a few pics to post this week. The timer shot is a must, i tried it before but it never clicked, I stood there for 5 hours....i would still be there if i hadn't fallen asleep. So good luck to me!!!

In the begining

Well, we learned a lot this weekend. One thing camera stuff is expensive!!! BUT we also learned about camera filters.

UV filter- Absorbs ultraviolet rays. Gives cleaner, sharper pictures with less haze. Also serves as a permanent lens protector.
Circular polarize- Essential for outdoor photography; deepens intensity of blue skies; reduces or eliminates glare.
Neutral Density- Reduces the amount of light without affecting the color. Eliminates overly bright, washed out images. Great for video.

These are the 3 Filters i will be taking to the canyon with me. I have found a bunch of cool ones but as a novice, let's start small!!! I also learned that if you find a great deal on a camera bag back pack from fry's, you don't want it. The bag i really want is $83.00 but i found one just like it for $39.00. the zippers didn't work. i could not find one that had all the zippers working. CRAP!!!

The Camera

I place this Blog here so you can follow the learning steps of becoming a amateur photographer. I bought this to move away from the point and click way of picture taking. This site is how i learned all kinds of new stuff, and get me to those really cool picture you see in magazines and stuff. we will learn about filters, iso settings and a bunch of other things.
